The Maltese Calendar is filled with rich traditions and colourful festivals. The new year 2021 calendar design project aims on portraying significant Maltese events, artefacts and cultural symbols in every respective month.

January features the traditional Maltese balconies, a distinctive characteristic of the island’s architecture, while the month of February showcases the Maltese carnival (Il-Karnival ta’ Malta), an annual festival full of colourful costumes, parades, music and dancing. During March, the annual rowing race dating back to the 1800s held in Malta takes place, known as ‘ir-Regatta’, while in April we celebrate our traditional almond pastry treats, Figolli. May features the island’s native flower, cape sorrel. The calendar ends with June which features the iconic painted prow, typically found on the Maltese Luzzu.
